In most of the cases of the reskins, the only changes made (if any) were to the alpha, not to the mesh. Example: the feathery rit skirt. Old model. New texture, new transparency. No extra credit there, Anet.
*shrug* Here's hoping they're elaborate fakes.

I don't have a problem with retextures really... i rather that there are retextures than people wearing kurzick something and luxon something else because that will look like an eye sore so it's nice to have everything cordinated.. i don't really see why the have to make orginal skins with they are already texturing and mixing the skins up.
So yeah I'm okay with it. But it's like why make new skins for the sake of new skins.. there is only so much they could do anyway.
I guess what i was saying in case I didn't get it across is that if there is complaints I feel it should be more about the texture and design and not the baseline skin of the armor.

These are pretty awful in my opinion, especially that first female ranger armor, they didn't even change the horn on the shoulder The sin armor looks horrible just a stupidly outlandish version of 15k and the others that aren't reskins look pants - the "woolly" ranger armor.

I hope these are not the accurate armor....or at least maybe these are all 1k stuff and we can get something much better looking for 15k. If not I am going to get some more NF armors that I have been holding off on getting

Well since the game is supposed to be for lvl 20 chars only and supposed to be for people who want to do more with their existing characters, I was under the assumption that all of the new armors were going to be "ascended" armors that all cost either 15k or 10k or 5k if it's like Vabbian.
That's one reason why I'm not liking these half-ass armors I'm seeing. I expected them to be better than all the other previous armors.
But that male monk armor with the reskinned Kurz pants is what gives me serious doubts that those are all the real armors. It just looks too retarded and doesn't match the rest of the armor quite right.

All I'm going to say is if all anet was going to do is some reskinning, it'd be nice if they would bother to reskin more of the sets and make them available in non-gwen games. If they want to reskin kurz, that's fine but make those options open to people in factions.

I'm not sure I've seen spikes on the pants of the male necro like that one before and there are a few others that seem a tad different to me also. Personally, I don't care if they're reskins, so long as they look good... and half don't.

I dunno. I can tell the difference between an alpha & the edge of a poly. It's true some are 100% reskins (mes you pointed out) but I still notice that most have slight changes. I guess it's more of a technicality since they still don't look unique enough. It's quite disappointing. One of the few things that stays very consistent (wep & armor) they put the lest effort into.

I think my most disappointing view of those was the female ranger armour that is EXACTLY the same as 15k Drakescale.

These have to be faked. We've already seen pictures of 2 sets of Warrior armor that looked great, why would these be so obviously half assed? The two sets shown on that gallery are very obviously just mis-matched armor thrown together and given the same texture.
Granted, a lot of these armors are legitimate, but I think whoever put these up has access to some of the Test skins, which we have already seen in the videos. Why would they release some armors with brand new skins and some with reskins? Doesn't really make sense, especially for the past armor quality. If they were going to pull this with armor, they would have done it ages ago.

Guys I rly think that all this pictures are just a joke made with TexMod...lol It's rly impossible that they just reskinned old armors. This is surely a fake. I mean did u see the "icy gloves"? They are just hands with the chaos axe texture applied on it. All fakes for me.

And they magically fit perfectly onto these models? I think you're about to be disappointed.

Sorry man, chaos axe is not just a texture. It's an addition blend alpha channel on a few polys. You can't just "color" something and make it look like that (unless you use shaders, which the CA doesn't) The glowing hands are the same. It's not just a texture you slap on the hands. I can even see the second set of polys they have at a perpendicular angle.
The magma hands are in the official interview vid too. Plus TexMod cannot alter models, many of these "reskins" have slight model tweaks from the base armors they used. Again, you're about to be disappointed.

Darksun is most likely, unfortunately right. I will be really dissapointed if thats what the sets looked like. There';s always hope that these models were simply "suggestions", and that they arent actually using all of them. Some of them i've seen for sure in videos. I just hope someone rushes through the preview event fast enough to varify any armor sets.
